Square Foot Gardening

Since I reserve the right to post anything food-related that I want, I thought I'd share one of my latest and most exciting endeavors.  Square Foot Gardening (SFG)!  Plus, growing things is like growing children. It is so fun to document each stage.  SFG is so easy.  Anyone can do it (there's a great book about it by Mel Bartholomew).  My cold weather crops are in, and beginning to grow.  Only a couple more weeks for the warm weather crops, and I'll be ready to host my own Farmer's Market right in my driveway.
Stay tuned for lots of fresh recipes using items from my very own garden.
The empty SFG.
Planted, and protected from all the rabbits, birds and who knows what else!
Here's what I've got so far:
Top Row (L-R) - cabbage, broccoli, cilantro, parsley
Middle - sweet Peas, broccoli, rhubarb
Bottom - broccoli, red leaf lettuce, lettuce, arugula

Thanks for your comment!

Nothing would be more tiresome than eating and drinking if God had not made them a pleasure as well as a necessity.
