Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

My friend Jessica gave me this recipe, we tried it out, and it was great!

1 c. shortening

1 c. sugar

1 c. canned pumpkin

1 egg

Cream above ingredients together.

Add each item below one at a time and mix well.

1 tsp. vanilla

2 c. flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 tsp. salt

1/2 bag milk chocolate chips

Mix well, roll into balls, place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Yields 3 dozen.

  1. This sounds divine! I can't wait to try them.

  2. these sound VERY yummy! got the can of pumpkin (small can, right?) but if forgot the shortening. i'm going to try to substitute it with butter. wish me luck! can't wait to make these tomorrow.

  3. Yum! I made these for church one morning. They were yummy. I also added pumpkin pie spice to mine and there were so good!

Thanks for your comment!

Nothing would be more tiresome than eating and drinking if God had not made them a pleasure as well as a necessity.
