This is a dinner time favorite, healthy and packed with lots of flavor.

1 lb. tilapia filets
2 TBS. olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 lime juice
1 TBS. chili powder
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper (optional)
salt & pepper to taste

Slaw Topping
3 TBS. lime juice
2 green onions, chopped
2 TBS. cilantro, finely chopped
1 tomato, diced
1 c. cabbage, finely sliced
salt & pepper to taste

Corn tortillas, fry in pan flipping once
Shredded cheese
Cilantro Lime Dressing

  1. I have been meaning to make fish tacos so I am glad you posted this. So, do you do 1/4 of a lime for the fish? Also, how do you cook the fish... is the recipe a marinade or do you add it to already cooke tilapia? And do you have a recipe for the cilantro lime dressing?

  2. Sorry Mel - it's supposed to be 1/4 c. of lime juice. I cook the fish in a frying pan with a little oil. You could also broil for 3-4 minutes per side, I've done it both ways, but it seems more tender if it's pan-fried. Cilantro dressing, yes, I will find the recipe and email it to you.

Thanks for your comment!

Nothing would be more tiresome than eating and drinking if God had not made them a pleasure as well as a necessity.
